"So Much Has Happened"
Some years ago when yours truly was still in her chosen profession of nursing, she attended a workshop on assertiveness or leadership.
The speaker was vivacious and petite { an image some online have noted they hated, and in the natural, so did I at least prior to Herbalife}.
She cited that she had determined at an early age that she was more dominant and not quiet like her parents and siblings had been - -
and set out to prove it.
Awakening to this at a much later age, when risks for eventual attainment became a possibility in my vision, I differentiated from my dad
who was an industrial engineer and always expressed caution. My daring to marry someone of whom he highly disapproved at the 'ripe old age' of 25 exclaimed this.
The past 45 years have been an endless procession of learning and changes. I have become more aware, observant(with help of stepmom who taught me double solitaire when I was 21), online marketing and a group called Purple Cowboys Marketing have taught me a lot about self expression and what is known as co-creation. I feel that the latter element goes a bit too far in getting away from a basic Christianity -- leaving God in charge. However, there is much to be learned about goal-setting and
maintaining a positive outlook.
I now can be aware that being different from others doesn't make me 'stick out like a sore thumb'-- a predominant fear in my early, very shy years.
Still I have to fight what I think politicians call waffling (a word not found in 1963 Webster's Dictionary).
Now I can speak if feel strongly enough about something, however I still can clam up later, concerned with possible repercussions.

It has been said we change from day to day.
Georgia Jenkins has been discovering more about this from day to day.
After joining any "new views" discussion group one can never be quite the same.
Changes can be both good and bad. It is how one applies it to his or her own life that counts!
